BAGOSA HOLDS BGM, ELECTS NEW NATIONAL EXECUTIVE

The Baptist Grammar School, Ibadan Old Students Association has embarked on a three-day Biennial General Meeting for the year 2023.

The programme commenced on Friday 29^th September 2023 with Arrival and registration of members, Socializing and a Party Night in the school premises. The newly renovated school hall was the venue.

Saturday 30^th of September featured a Business Meeting, Election of a new executive to pilot the affairs of the Association for the period 2023 to 2025.

In the well contested elections, the following candidates emerged as winners.

President                             Ambassador Abiola Jayeola-Lewis       

Vice President                     Deaconess  Omolara Thomas

General Secretary              Ogbeni Femi Oladapo (Femolad)

Assistant Secretary            Miss Esther Adeoye

Public Relations Officer     Pastor Dele Ajayi

The Financial Secretary and Treasurer were also returned unopposed.

A novelty match rounded up the events of the day.

The newly elected National Officers will be sworn-in on Sunday October 1^st at the school premises in Idi Ishin, Ibadan.

The newly-elected General Secretary, Femi Oladapo said “in an election like this, there are no victor and no vanquished”.

He further enjoined all members to join the new executive in taking the Association to greater heights.

A member of the 1977 set of the Association Engineer Pius Ajulo congratulated the entire BAGOSA family worldwide for the successful and rancor-free election.

The incoming National President Ambassador Abiola Jayeola-Lewis harped on the seven point agenda put forward during the campaigns, which the people voted for.

She also emphasized the need to always put BAGOSA and Baptist Grammar School first in all things.
