AKINJIDE MOURNS LATEEF GIWA
The death has been announced of Alhaji. Lateef Giwa of Saki in
Oyo State.
In a condolence message made available to press over the
weekend Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, a former Federal Minister of the Federal Capital
Territory, has said the death of Alhaji Lateef Giwa is a great loss to Saki people,
Oyo State, Nigeria and Humanity.
The PDP leader described Pa Giwa as a statesman with the heart
of a king. Lateef Giwa was a steadfast
party man who was not waved by greed and pecuniary considerations but stood his
grounds when it mattered most.
Alhaji Giwa was a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oke
Ogun and a grassroots mobilizer. He commanded great followership among his
people because he was reliable and dependable.
Oloye condoles with the people of Saki and the PDP family in Oyo
State.
Akinjide prayed that God grants the family the fortitude to
bear the loss.
Alhaji Lateef Giwa has since been buried according to Islamic rights.
