IBADAN EAST COUNCIL BOSS, ESOMIOR, COMMISSIONS SLAUGHTER SLAB AT ADEKILE

The Orita Aperin Market is one of the biggest and oldest markets in Ibadan located in Ibadan East LCDA. The ever-busy market is divided into several sections each specializing in one merchandise or the other.

One of them is the butchery. Private buyers and food vendors throng the place every day. Some of the problems bedeviling the butchery was unavailability of clean sanitary environment and their own slaughter slab.

In her contribution to extend the dividend of democracy to the people of Ibadan East Local Council Development Area, Hon. Mrs Mary Esomior, the Political Head, has Commissioned a Slaughter Slab tfor the people of Adekile, Orita Aperin area, Ibadan.

The council boss in her speech said the provision of the slab is to make their activities easier for the butchers in the area and to complement the effort of the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde.

 

In a statement made available  to press by Mrs Amusan Funmilayo the Information  officer, Hon Esomior urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the slab and always make the environment clean and tidy.

In his remarks, the Babaloja of Orita Aperin, Mr Abiodun Hammed commended the political head for her commitment towards the construction  of the slab and promised that it  will be used judiciously.

Alhaja Sherifat Adigun is a food vendor and a regular customer. She believes the slaughter slab will ease the problem of having to wait for hours. In her views, Hon Esomior’s gesture has shown she has the interest of the people at heart.

Present at the occasion were the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Olabode A.A,  Departmental heads, Deputies, Unit heads, members of people's Democratic party and other dignitaries.
