STANDARDS ORGANISATION OF NIGERIA (SON) APPOINNTS FAWEHINMI

 

FAWEHINMI APPOINTED MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL/MIRROR COMMITTEE ON AFRICAN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE BY STANDARDS ORGANISATION OF NIGERIA (SON)

Dr Akinlolu Bankole Fawehinmi has been appointed as a member of the National Technical/ Mirror Committee (NT/MC) on African Traditional Medicine by the Standards Organization of Nigeria.

According to a letter dated 16th October 2024, and signed by Engr. Yahya A. Bukar Director, Standards Development Department for the Director General/Chief Executive, as a member of an National Technical/Mirror Committee, Fawhinmi is now part of a team of experts responsible for ensuring that national standards are developed in line with the Principles and Procedures for the Development of Nigeria National Standards, noting inclusivity of stakeholders in identifying needs, establishing the relevance, providing justification and prioritising Nigerian standardisation project work as a prerequisite for the development of National standards.

Fawehinmi is currently the Rector of Nigeria College of Natural Medicine Technology, Victoria Island Lagos

Dr. Akinlolu Fawehinmi is an alumnus of Baptist Grammar School, Idi Ishin, Ibadan.

Congratulating Fawehinmi, The Immediate Past President of Baptist Grammar School Old Student Association (BAGOSA) Dr, Lanre Soyinka said the appointment is recognition of Fawehinmi’s intellectual worth and devotion to duty.

Ogbeni Femi Ladapo, publisher of this magazine in his own response advised Dr, Akinlolu Fawehinmi to see this appointment as a National Call To Serve and an opportunity to contribute his own quota to National Development.

Mrs. Yemisi Kupoluyi, on her part wished Fawehinmi more wins and greater recognition in his chosen profession. Mrs Kupoluyi is the Chairperson of Baptist Grammar School Old Students Association Ibadan Chapter and an educationist.
