OLUYOLE HOSTS FIRST SCHOOLS CHALLENGE AND SEYI MAKINDE INTELLECTUAL CUP.


In line with the efforts of the Engineer Seyi Makinde administration in developing education and encouraging intellectual development among children, especially at a early stage in their lives the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engineer Akeem Olatunji has sponsored a quiz competition among junior public secondary schools in Oluyole Local Government. 

The competition which was a collaboration with Kaleidoscope Olads Concepts involved participants from various schools with four finalists emerging from the zones. The keenly contested finals saw students from Molete High School, Oyo State Comprehensive Model College, Bare Community High School and Prospect High School participating. 

At the end of the contest, Aladetan Ileladewa Opeyemi of Oyo State Comprehensive Model College won with 45 points while the runner-up Onikede Abdulrasak of Molete High School scored 44 points. Representatives of Prospect High School and Bare Community High School came third and fourth after a tie breaker. Aladetan Ileladewa Opeyemi, the only female in the finals became the winner of the FIRST OLUYOLE SCHOOLS CHALLENGE . She also won the SEYI MAKINDE INTELLECTUAL CUP for her school. 

While giving gifts to the winner, Engineer Akeem Olatunji said his administration as an extension of the Seyi Makinde administration is determined to promote academic excellence in our public schools. He also gave cash gifts to the finalists to encourage them to do better. The Head of Local Government Administration in Oluyole local government encouraged the students to always strive higher. She told the students to aim higher in their academic pursuits.

Miss Aladetan was also awarded a WINNER'S BADGE for her victory.

The representative of Kaleidoscope Olads Concepts opined that the erroneous believe that private schools are better than public onee was corrected by the performance of the students. According to him the best brains, though most indigent, can be found in our public schools.

As a further motivation Miss Aladetan Ileladewa Opeyemi will be sworn in as the ONE DAY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN on Wednesday 20th November. This according to Engineer Akeem Olatunji will will serve as a morale booster for students.

Mrs Adekola, the program officer for the competition thanked the Council Chairman for the opportunity given the students to express themselves.
